Kendriya Vidyalaya, Hinoo Shift 2 Ranchi was established in 2 Sep. 2004 in KV Hinoo Building,  near A.G. More, Doranda Ranchi covering an area of about 4.7 acres of land. It has its own pucca grand building having spacious classrooms, big library of good books, well equipped three computer labs , a leveled playground surrounded by high boundary walls from all sides to provide a safe and suitable environment for all round development of child's personality.

Though there are good number of Public schools in and around the city, the quality of education by highly educated teaching staff and self disciplined habits inculcated in the children are the focus to attract admission in this prestigious institution.
Every year a good number of students of this Vidyalaya compete in the entrance exam of high profile. It is a co-educational institution.  It has I to V  Classes in 2 sections each and VI to IX Classes in 1 section.
