Kendriya Vidyalaya DRDO set up in 1986 as a Project School of DRDO, The primary block was inaugurated by Mrs.Arunachalam, Chief Scientific Advisor and the New Block was inaugurated by Dr.K.G.Narayanan, Former Director, Aeronautical Development Establishment on 09.04.1995.

K.V.DRDO has in the last 25 years has a tiny speck in the horizon of the KV network started its journey through thick and thin, through high tide and low tide, through challenges and opportunities to bloom into a full-fledged, wholesome body in the form of K.V.DRDO - The student community the flesh and blood, the management and parents the bone structure, the KV staff and the authorities the life and spirit of this wholesome body. Well nurtured, well provided for, well guided and channelized into a positive attitude, this body, KV.DRDO today can proudly stand up and say 'The elements have touched me and I have grown
