Kendriya Vidyalaya, No.1, Air Force Station, Sambra was established in the year 1977, with a view to impart quality education to the students in this region. Established in the defence sector, the Vidyalaya is administered by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India with its headquarters at New Delhi.

The Vidyalaya caters to the educational needs of the children of Defence, Para-Military and other Central Government employees by providing a common programme of education. The Vidyalaya strives for the over all development of the students by pursuing excellence both in curricular and co-curricular activities. The standard of teaching and learning is kept high by introducing latest trends in the field of educational technology.
