Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Yadgiri

DESCRIPTION :

This vidyalaya was established during the year 1987-1988 in temporary site at Bheemarayanagudi... After 10 years of functioning in the temporary site the vidyalaya shifted to its permanent buildings constructed under phase I in the year 1996. The buildings constructed under phase II were occupied in the year APR-96. 

There are adequate number of classrooms and dormitories for running classes from VI to XII and accommodating the admitted children. At present Vidyalaya have 4 small dining halls, one M.P hall, out door stage, Library hall and well-equipped labs. 

The present strength of the vidyalaya is 478 (as on 10th June). This year a new elective subject computer science is sanctioned to the Vidyalaya computer lab with 42 computers are there for the use of children. Also four Labs Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics are set for conducting practical in the respective subject A smart classroom consisting of one TV (29?) one computer and L.C.D projector are also set for integrated computer aided teaching. Every teacher takes weekly minimum two audio video classes by using this.
