DAV Public School, MCL, Jagannath Area is a premier institution under the patronage of MCL with classes from LKG to Senior Secondary level in Science, & Commerce stream .

We started our sacred mission with 900 students in the year 2002. The present students strength is 2300 who are guided by 73 teachers and 18 administrative staff.

The school has achieved cent percent result in Class-X & XII conducted by the CBSE and Class- VIII DAV education Board in the academic session 2007-08 which is the fifth time repetition in the history of the school with seven students securing more than 90% in Class-X Board exam.. This is a glorious manifestation of incessant striving and concerted efforts of the entire teaching fraternity of DAV Jagannath Area.

The school organizes exhibitions in Science, Art & Craft, Literature and social Science every year on the eve of Children's Day. On these occasions the school has been visited by eminent personalities and experts from different fields and students of neighbouring schools.

The apex sports body of India (SAI) has adopted this school as one of the training centers to promote Wrestling for psychomotor development of the school students of this district. This school is privileged to get the MULTYGYM and Wrestling Mat worth Rs. 5.23 lakhs from the SAI. This center has produced Wrestling trainees who have won State ad National level championship in the preceding years. Regular Yoga classes are conducted in the school to give a complete shape to the personality of the students.
