Kendriya Vidyalaya Jharsuguda

Kendriya Vidyalaya at Jharsuguda started functioning during 1987 being sponsored by S E Railway.
Jharsuguda town is situated at the Western end of Orissaon the State High way No. 10. It is situated at a distance of 515 K.M. from Calcutta and 616 Km. from Nagpur.
The river IB flows along the Western side of Jharsugudatown and the river Vheden flows in the south. The area of the town is 70.47 sq.km.  The townsituated at 21.82o north longitude and 84.1o latitude ata height of 700-750 feet above mean sea level.  The highest temperaturerecorded in summer is 46.7o . Centigrade and it has an average rainfall of 1527 mm.
The KV is situated 3 Km far away from district headquarter andestablished in 1987. The sponsoring authority of KV is SE Railway. Now theschool premises spread over a land of 14.61 acres with infrastructure facilitylike play ground, volleyball court, science labs etc.
