DESCRIPTION :

The mission of K.V Gangtok is to develop intellectually capable young people the creative minds, healthy bodies and ethical spirits needed to contribute wisdom, compassion and leadership to a global society . The School provides its students with an education that will prepare them for life, through sound instruction in basic studies and grounding in orthodox faith and tradition. We are committed to sustain a school in which individuals representing diverse culture and experiences instruct one another in the meaning and value of community and in the joy and importance of life-long learning. At the school level this is achieved by providing student with a highly literate environment filled with letters , books , phonics, colours and activities that model literacy through language , reading and writing.

MISSION OF KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA SANGATHAN

The Kendriya Vidyalayas have a four - fold mission, viz.,
1. To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government including Defence and Para-military personnel by providing a common programme of education ;
2. To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education;
3. To initiate and promote experimentation and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the National Concil of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) etc. and
