Doon Valley Public School was born out of the need to provide passionate nurturing and Holistic, moral based secure ambience for students. The school was started on 2nd April 1982 by our Late. Founder Shri. G.R. Shimal and his wife Mrs. Chandra Prabha Shimal. With a handful of children, and determined staff we have evolved into a full fledged school of repute. We uphold our commitment to our founder’s vision, core values, and educational philosophy. At DVPS we believe that teachers need to innovate and improve on existing methodology ensuring that we keep abreast of contemporary trends. It is a co-ed boarding school, affiliated to CBSE and has students from different parts of the world. It provides an environment that encourages a questioning mind, and gives them opportunity to hone their skills. At DVPS, we foster an educational environment that emphasises individual attention, self-esteem and personal responsibility. The emphasis is also given on the all round development of the students. Traditional methods are employed in inculcating moral and ethical values in the students. The academics are taught with a modern approach.
