Our Vidyalaya was started in the year 1981 and now it is one of the best among 14 Vidyalayas in Chennai District, Tamil Nadu State. This Vidyalaya comes under Defence Sector in KVS Chennai Region which has 53 schools under it in Kerala, TN and Pondicherry. KV Island Grounds is located very close to Chennai central railway station, on Body guard road now known as Pallavan Salai, very near to Body Guard Muneeshwarar Temple. Housed in a sprawling 6.6 Acres of Army land, among lush green trees, surrounded by beautiful aesthetically laid out garden, the Vidyalaya has a huge building,. The building sets glamour for the concept of cleanliness and facilities. 	

Our vidyalya have two Kabaddi Court, one Basketball Court, one Volleyball Court, a Kho-Kho Court and a multipurpose ground. Events are conducted division wise as per their age groups
