The Claret Schools are situated in Karumathur village 23 km west of Madurai in the Madurai - Theni main road. When the Claretians began their work in this area they felt the need for rural education as an instrument for social change. In order to bring the light of education to the people of this area a Primary School was started in the year 1981. As days went the demand increased and the school was upgraded to High School with new buildings. Due to the hard work of the management and with the co-operation of Fatima Sisters and the teachers, the school is producing excellent results in the Public Examinations. Computer education is also introduced in the school. The School excels in all the competitions conducted in the zonal and district level
