Campion Anglo - Indian Higher Secondary School is named after its Patron Saint Edmund Campion, an Oxford Scholar and Jesuit Priest, who was martyred for the Catholic Faith in the reign of Queen Elizabeth I of England and canonized in 25th October, 1970. The school is managed by the Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel, members of Religious congregation internationally renowned for their service in the field of education. They have highly reputed schools in all parts of the world.

Though the school is primarily intended for Catholic Anglo-Indian boys, it is open to students of all denominations. The school accepts both day-scholars and borders. The school prepares boys from stds. I to X for the Secondary School Leaving Certificates Examination. In Stds. XI and XII they are prepared for the Higher Secondary Examinations.
The medium of instruction in all the classes from stds. I to XII is ENGLISH. Tamil is taught as a second language. In order to fortify the foundation of the educational structure of the school, Campion has a Nursery section consisting of two classes-the L.K.G.for three-year-old children and U.K.G. for four-year-old children. This enables the students to enjoy two more years of Campion service.
