The Kendriya Vidyalaya, Hamirpur is one of the premier educational institutions of the country. The Vidyalaya was established in 1983 in the civil sector sponsored by the Govt. of Himachal Pradesh to provide uninterrupted education at the school level to the wards of Defence personnel, Central Govt. employees, Ex-servicemen, War Widows and to those parents who can not keep their families with them due to non-availability of Kendriya Vidyalaya at their place of posting in far flung / field areas and or posting at Metropolitan cities. The Vidyalaya building was constructed in four years during 1995-99 at the cost of Rs. 2. 5 crore The Vidyalaya provides all type of activities for all round development of every student

The Vidyalaya is having Science and commerce Streams in + 2 (XI & XII).Performance of the children of this Vidyalaya has improved manifold. The result analysis of the last 5 year in result section will show the performance of the students.
