Kendriya Vidyalaya Jakhoo Hills one of the premier academic institution in Shimla was Established on 1 April 1964 when Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan , an autonomous body under the Ministry of Human Resource Development Government of India stamped its hallmark and took over the erstwhile Harcourt Butler School, an establishment meant for colonials to pursue their education.
