Kendriya Vidyalaya, IIT Kanpur

DESCRIPTION :

Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanpur began its academic flight as an institute of higher learning sector Vidyalaya in 1965. Since its inception this citadel has not only expanded and flurished in various spheres of education but has also establish its merit and name in the region and the nation in the fields of academic results, literary activities, games and sports...   

The school began in a humble manner when IIT granted two Bunglaws for the initiation of the establishment with Shri. D. S. Bajpai as the founder Principal with merely 60 students on roll in one section each of classes 6 to 9.
Now the school has grown to a five section school from classes 6 to 12 and there is also a Primary section running of two sections. The student strength has also risen to 2200.

The school not only enjoys a glorious present but the past is also gloriously impressive. The initial years saw a number of our meritorious students enlisted in KVS toppers list. Even now almost every year this school sends out brains who get selected in prestigious institutions like IITs, AIIMS et al. These students in turn go to the U.S. to pursue higher studies.
