DESCRIPTION :

Mother Benigna, the true architect of the Indian Mission of the CFMSS,  was on the lookout for a summer retreat in one of the hill-stations as the Italian sisters were falling prey to terminal diseases due to years of strenuous work, with no proper rest or food and the  inhospitable climate of Agra and Delhi.  
 
It was at this juncture that she was informed of the prospective sale of the Woodville Estate - summer residence of Sarojini Devi, the erstwhile Queen of Nabha, which stood in the shadow of the imposing Sacred Heart Church, close to the Town Hall.( we are right now seated in the very same Church compound)	On August 10, 1964 , on the vigil of the feast of St. Clare,  she bought the same.
