This institution has astonishing history. In 1968, it was a simple coaching centre for girls only to education them beyond Matric as there as there was no college in this Jaito Mandi. It was started by some teachers cum social workers. It turned into Saraswati Kanya Mahavidayala with the help of Ramayan Parchar Mandal.

In Nov. 14, 1980 Ramayan Parchar Mandal established Saraswati Model School (Now Saraswati Sen. Sec. School) to meet the ever aspiring need of this area.

The school is located at Bathinda Road and has a campus of above 21/2 acres consisting of 60 Rooms. It is situated in the heart of the town. It has a spacious building having well furnished, airy and commodious classrooms.

The school is fully equipped with all necessities and amenities for recreation and study for scholars. It provides facilities of play grounds, generators, Hot cases, water-coolers facility etc.

Since its establishment, the school is on its way to progress day by day. At present we are going to complete 33 years with better achievements and it has on its rules more than one thousand students.
